Do I have to sign a childcare contract?

What age groups do you cater to?
We provide care for children aged 2 to 12 years.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No, your child does not need to be potty trained to attend. Please send a change of clothes, along with diapers and wipes, so we can keep your child comfortable throughout their stay.
Do you require pre-registration?
We recommend registering your child at least one week before making a childcare reservation. The registration fee is $60.00 per child.
Are meals included?
We provide one meal, a snack, and beverages for all children. If your child is scheduled for a 9‑hour reservation, please pack a nut‑free lunch for them. We also ask that you send a labeled washable cup and any optional snacks your child prefers. Regardless of our reservation time, we recommend including at least one nut‑free snack and a beverage to ensure they have something they enjoy throughout the day.
How should I dress my child?
For your child’s comfort and safety, please dress them in clothing that can get messy. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times, unless a Royal Kids staff member provides different instructions for a specific activity. We are not responsible for any damaged clothes or shoes.

Safety & Care
What safety measures are in place?
We prioritize safety through trained staff, child‑proofed facilities, and secure check‑in and check‑out procedures. For added security, our door remains locked for the entire duration of services.
Are there any live-stream cameras or CCTV systems in place?
We don’t have cameras in place at the moment, but as our business continues to grow, we plan to invest in CCTV to further enhance safety and transparency. In the meantime, please know that your child’s well‑being is our top priority. Our trusted staff have all undergone thorough background checks and bring many years of experience in the childcare field, so you can feel confident that they are in caring, capable hands.
What qualifications do your staff have?
All of our caregivers have undergone background checks and physical examinations, are certified in CPR and First Aid, and many also have experience or formal training in early childhood education.
How do you store medication or medical devices?
All medical devices and medications must be checked in at each visit. If your child has a condition such as asthma or requires an EpiPen, you must bring the appropriate medication with your child every time they attend.
For safety reasons, we cannot accept a child if the required medication for their condition is not provided. Please note that refunds are not available if a child must be taken home due to missing medical items.
How do you handle allergies or special needs?
Royal Kids is a welcoming and inclusive program committed to supporting every child. Our team is trained to care for children with a wide range of abilities, and we encourage families to share any allergies, needs, or accommodations during registration so we can plan appropriately.
Because our program is group‑based, we are best suited for children who thrive in a group setting. Please carefully assess your child’s needs before enrolling, as our ratios limit the amount of one‑on‑one support we can provide. Being transparent helps us ensure a safe, positive, and successful experience for your child.
Royal Kids is committed to creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for every child. If we observe that a child may require more one‑on‑one support than our group‑care setting can safely provide, we may need to discontinue care.
This decision is never made lightly. Our goal is always to ensure that each child is in an environment where they can thrive, and we will communicate with families with compassion and transparency if concerns arise.
Activities and Programs
What types of activities do you offer?
We provide a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, and
educational programs tailored to different age groups.
Can parents participate in activities?
Parents are welcome to volunteer and participate in special events or activities. Please check our calendar for upcoming opportunities.
Can my child bring their iPad, tablet, phone, or AAC device?
Yes, your child may bring their iPad, tablet, phone, or AAC device. Please note that all personal electronics should be labeled and will be used to our discretion and subject to our review, if needed. Phone calls and FaceTime are not permitted on iPads or other personal devices while in our care. AAC devices are always welcome and encouraged to support communication. Royal Kids are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged electronics.
Can my child bring toys?
We do not recommend bringing personal toys from home. Our center provides a wide variety of toys and activities to keep children engaged throughout their visit.
Communication
How can I communicate with the staff?
Parents can communicate with staff during drop-off and pick-up times, or via email and phone for any concerns or questions. Parents can also communicate via Brightwheel.
Will I receive updates about my child’s day?
We keep families informed through both verbal updates and our childcare software. You'll receive information about your child’s activities, meals, and any important events that take place during their time with us.
Emergencies
How do you handle medical emergencies?
In the event of an emergency, we follow a comprehensive safety plan that prioritizes each child’s well-being. Parents will be contacted immediately, and emergency services will be called if needed. Our staff is thoroughly trained to handle medical situations, and families will be informed without delay.
What is your sick child policy?
If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be required to pick them up within one hour. Please note that refunds are not provided when a child is sent home due to illness. We encourage families to assess their child’s health before drop‑off to ensure they are well enough to participate and enjoy their visit.
